Members are requested to allow at least twenty minutes to shower and change before leaving the premises prior to the club closing.
Before using the centre it is necessary for you to have a compulsory health check with one of our fully qualified instructors.
In addition to your compulsory health check an induction offers you a demonstration of the gym equipment and your own personal training programme.
Workout wear (whatever you feel comfortable in), training shoes, a towel and sweat towel. For hygiene reasons, swimming caps must be worn in the large and small pools. You will also require a padlock to secure your locker during your visit. Swimming caps, padlocks, towels and sweat towels may be purchased from reception.
You do not need to book for exercise classes at Total Fitness; however, certain classes may have restricted numbers, so please check with reception. A class schedule is available from reception and is reviewed on a regular basis.
These facilities open at 6.30am and are available until half an hour prior to the centre closing.
Sweat towels are compulsory when training in the gym. As a courtesy to other gym users it is requested that the gym equipment is wiped down after use. For hygiene reasons members are also required to sit on a towel at all times when using the sauna and samarium.
Squash courts can be booked at reception. An electricity charge is payable for a 45 minute period and is paid directly into the squash court meter. Members are requested to wear training shoes which will not mark the surface of the courts.
The small pool is closed to swimmers when an Aqua class takes place. Similarly, only half the pool is available during adult and children’s swimming lessons. Where possible, these classes will be scheduled to take place during traditionally quiet times.
